About ACES
Assisted Command Emergency Security (ACES) is a specialized emergency response and incident management company dedicated to protecting communities during natural disasters and federally contracted response operations. We provide expert security support for wildland fires, floods, road closures, evacuations, and other high-risk emergency events across the nation.
Our mission is to enhance safety in and around Incident Command Posts (ICP), spike camps, forward camps, and disaster zones by ensuring seamless security integration into multi-agency emergency operations. With more than 33 years of collective experience in the Incident Command System (ICS), ACES operates at the highest levels of emergency management, bringing reliability, professionalism, and proven expertise to every deployment.
Experience & Expertise
ACES security professionals have decades of combined service in federally coordinated response operations. The team includes federally qualified Security Managers and Specialists with thousands of hours of incident-specific assignments, including securing Incident Command Posts, enforcing Forest Orders, managing road closures, and providing operational security at disaster sites nationwide.
Beyond security management, ACES brings federal qualifications in leadership, logistics, and operations, enabling seamless support for large-scale emergency response efforts. Our team is trained to adapt quickly, operate under pressure, and safeguard both responders and affected communities.

Working With ACESecurity as a 1099 Subcontractor :Assisted Command Emergency Security (Assisted Command Emergency Security LLC) works with independent 1099 subcontractors to support government emergency response operations, including wildland fires, floods, evacuations, and disaster incidents.

To work with ACES, you must operate as an independent business.
You must have one of the following:
A registered LLC, sole proprietorship, or business entity
An EIN (Employer Identification Number) or SSN for tax reporting

ACES subcontractors:
Are not employees
Are not guaranteed work
May accept or decline assignments daily
May work for other companies
Are paid per day / per assignment, not hourly payroll
All subcontractors must sign an Independent Contractor Agreement.

Each subcontractor must carry their own insurance.
Minimum required coverage:
Commercial General Liability (CGL)
$1,000,000 per occurrence
You may be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI).

Occupational Accident Insurance is strongly recommended.
This coverage helps pay medical expenses related to injuries sustained during assignments.

Independent subcontractors:
Are not covered by workers’ compensation
Assume responsibility for their own injuries
Must maintain appropriate insurance coverage
This is standard for independent contractor emergency response models.

Subcontractors must provide their own:
Reliable personal vehicle
Valid driver’s license
Current auto insurance
Fuel and vehicle maintenance
ACES does not provide vehicles or transportation.

To ensure visibility, professionalism, and approachability during incidents, subcontractors must supply their own attire consistent with the following guidelines:
Black pants
Cobalt blue or dark blue shirt
Black outerwear (jacket, sweatshirt, or windbreaker)
Clothing must be clean, professional, and suitable for outdoor emergency conditions.

Subcontractors do not wear ACES uniforms
Subcontractors may wear an ACES patch
ACES-issued T-shirts with logo and “SECURITY” on the back are permitted
These items are considered identification apparel, not uniforms, and do not create employment status.

Assignments are:
Incident-specific
Offered daily
Accepted daily
Not guaranteed
While incidents often last 14–21 days, duration may vary.
Subcontractors sign up for open guard posts and confirm presence daily using the ACEScheduler app. Assignments may end at any time due to demobilization or changing conditions.

ACES uses daily operational accountability to:
Confirm presence
Maintain safety
Track incident staffing
This process is not timekeeping, not payroll, and does not establish employment.

To work with ACES as a 1099 subcontractor, you must have:
Independent business status
Required insurance coverage
Reliable transportation
Professional attire
Ability to accept or decline daily assignments
